Learning and self-discovery happen everywhere at Porter’s.
Our residential and dining spaces are built for intellectual collaboration and independent learning—as well as rest, relaxation and fun.
Sometimes the most meaningful discoveries can happen when (and where) you least expect them—sharing a meal with friends, lounging in the dorm, or just hanging out and having fun. The Porter’s campus is packed with comfortable, welcoming spaces where you can focus on your studies but also unwind and spend quality time with friends.
We are committed to creating a healthy and sustainable living environment where everyone can learn, grow, relax and have fun.
These Victorian-era homes have been converted into eco-friendly and comfortable living spaces with modern amenities like air conditioning, climate control and LED lighting—all while maintaining their historic charm.
Special lounges for day students provide dedicated spaces for storing belongings, spending time with friends and relaxing in between classes and activities.
Dedicated full-time house directors, or “dorm parents,” live and work with students inside each dormitory. These trusted adults teach important life skills while also providing students with mentorship and support.
A typical day at Miss Porter’s School begins in the dining hall in Main—the heart of campus. It’s a communal gathering place where every member of our community can enjoy delicious, healthy food and good conversation. Meals are served buffet-style and feature everything from hot entrees and sides to salads, smoothies, sweet treats and grab-and-go items.
Our dining team is mindful of food-related allergies and restrictions. Every day, they cook up a wide variety of meal options that meet common dietary needs and preferences, including vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian, and allergy- and gluten-aware meals.
A long-held tradition at Porter’s, monthly Sit-Down Dinners are formal, family-style meals that bring students and faculty together for meaningful conversation and connection. Hosted by various student groups and often centered on cultural and religious events, these dinners celebrate the richness and diversity of the Porter’s community.
